VICTORIA FIORE is an BIFA-nominated documentary film director, photographer and multi-lingual editor based between Rio de Janeiro, Beirut and Napoli .

Her latest film PAVILHÃO premiered at Tribeca Film Festival and featured on NOWNESS, WePresent and Director’s Library among others. Her BIFA award-winning debut feature documentary NASCONDINO is had its Europe-wide cinema release after premiering at the BFI London Film Festival in the Grierson Competition and in the main competition at CPH:Dox, and is out now on Amazon.

She is currently developing MUQAWAMA, a photography research project in Southern Lebanon with WePresent, a well as fiction features GLORY, selected for the Locarno Residency, TERRA PROMETIDA , shortlisted for Hubert Bals, and series LE COSE BELLE, selected for Torino Series Labs. She is also a supported fellow of FILM INDEPENDENT, NETFLIX ITALY & PREMI DAVID DI DONATELLO.

A Linguist turned Anthropologist trained in Film Education at the EICTV Cuba, and Theatre of the Oppressed at Rio de Janeiro’s Centro do Teatro do Oprimido, she offers workshops and mentorship for young people and participates in social causes such as PalAction. She also edits broadcast documentaries, including recent credits for Al Jazeera, CANADA, and an Emmy nominated feature for VICE.

When she’s not documenting, she’ll most likely be studying ayurvedic plant concoctions or dancing samba in carnaval in Rio de Janeiro with GRES Paraíso do Tuiuti and GRES Académicos do Salgueiro.
